A group of five of us have just returned from an initial exploratory trip to fish at Rio Indio Lodge in Nicaragua near Costa Rica. We were greeted by English speaking staff at the lodge and were further welcomed with amazing accommodations and delicious food and drinks.

The Tarpon fishing and Snook fishing was fierce and kept me on my toes. This is such an amazing environment to fish while admiring a continual parade of parrots and countless other colorful birds along with amazing butterflies the size of dinner plates and howler monkeys. This was a vacation well spent!

We loved it. It is just gorgeous. Everywhere you look there is something beautiful to see! The lobby, the grounds, fountains, the main covered corridors… everything is a feast for the eyes! The food was exquisite and plentiful. We had an amazing time on our tarpon fishing trip and will be back soon…

I spent 4 nights at the lodge and didn't want to leave. Everything is 10/10, especially considering the lodge's remote location. The staff are superb and are constantly wanting to make everything as relaxing and easy as possible. The fishing/eco guides are world class and will do anything possible to show you any of the wildlife/fish you may be interested in seeing. The quality of food the lodge is able to provide is outstanding and was never disappointed.

If you love the outdoors, fishing and wild life - I'd recommend this place 100%.

Stayed March 2015, traveled with family.

Even the staff has fun at this carefree resort, where guests can take it easy during the day and enjoy a few cocktails or go out and Wrangle some Monster Tarpon! We caught a lot of Rainbow Bass, Tarpon and Snook at this amazing Costa Rica fishing lodge and Nicaragua fishing lodge. The food was incredible and all of the staff are extremely service oriented. I’m bringing other members of my practice back next year. A Huge Thank You to all of the staff, guides and hosts at this fishing paradise.

I travel to the Rio Indio lodge twice a year for the River Snook fishing. This year I caught a 43” Snook, which is a record at this particular lodge. The food is to die for and the service is distinguished. I believe the fact that I come back twice a year speaks for itself!

The Rio Indio Lodge is truly an incredible paradise nestled atop a river bank only minutes from the Ocean. The lodge and accommodations were breathtaking only to be trumped by the incredible Tarpon fishing and Snook fishing to be had just a short boat ride from the docks. I hooked several 160lb Tarpon and a friend on my boat hooked a 240lb Tarpon that took him 2 hours and 4o minutes to reel in! - Michael Davis
